On 30 September, early parliamentary elections will be held in Slovakia with 25 political subjects running in it. Those include 24 parties and movements, and one coalition. In order to get into parliament, a political party needs to gain at least 5% of the votes, while the limit for a coalition is 7%. Over 4 million voters are eligible to cast their vote. Today, we start Radio Slovakia International’s series of 5 parts dedicated to the upcoming general elections. It is produced by Brano Grman, our colleague form the Slovak section. In its first part, he discusses the question of who is eligible to vote in Slovakia.
