Foreign Affairs Minister Juraj Blanar met Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov at a meeting of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Malta on Thursday to discuss natural gas supplies and Ukraine. The two ministers discussed topics related to national interests in the field of energy resources. According to Blanar, it is in Slovakia's interest to maintain the existing corridors from the Russian Federation for the transit of oil and gas, as they are reliable and price-stable. "Although we are working on diversifying these supplies, it is crucial for us to have secure supplies in the amount we need and at a favourable price," he said. The Russian side has confirmed it's ready to continue to fulfil its supply commitments.
