This summer, the Andy Warhol Museum of Modern Art in Medzilaborce has prepared an event called A Week with Andy, which begins on Monday, August 7. The program will be dedicated to the life and work of this world-famous artist, whose roots come from the nearby village of Miková in Eastern Slovakia. On Monday, the Museum plans to inaugurate Andy Warhol's family tree. The Andy Warhol Museum of Modern Art, which opened in Medzilaborce 25 years ago is historically the first of its kind in the world and the only one in Europe.
