President dissatisfied, but approves new government

President Andrej Kiska will appoint Prime Minister-elect Peter Pellegrini's new government on Thursday (March 22). He announced this on Wednesday afternoon after meeting with each new Cabinet member over the course of the day. Kiska admitted that while he was not entirely satisfied with the new composition of the government, it has the majority of democratic support in Parliament. "As head of state, I will not go beyond the limits of the constitution and constitutional customs," stated Kiska.
