The National Crime Agency (NAKA) has pressed charges against four people for tax fraud in connection with the construction of the Bonaparte apartment complex in Bratislava. Those charged are the former executive managers of two companies, and include Ladislav Bašternák. According to investigators, the men illegally claimed a VAT refund exceeding €900,000. The politically well-connected Bašternák is currently serving a 5-year prison sentence in a separate case of tax evasion.
