If everyone is disciplined, Slovakia can avoid tragic scenarios related to the spread of coronavirus, stated Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová on Sunday. She also stressed the importance of observing preventive measures and that it's necessary to listen to scientists and experts. Although Čaputová admitted that the situation in the country, which is changing from day to day, is difficult, she pointed out that it is not easy for other states either. The president noted that Slovakia was one of the first countries to adopt strict measures that were important in order to "stretch out the disease over time". However, Čaputová believes that it will certainly be necessary to assess whether Slovakia was able to be prepared for the situation in time. The president also praised the work of all who are trying to help others in these times, including not only doctors and rescue workers, but for example also volunteers and entrepreneurs.
