On Wednesday, President Zuzana Čaputová appointed Ivan Korčok as Minister of Foreign and European Affairs. Until Korčok's appointment, Economy Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Richard Sulík had temporarily managed the ministry. Korčok is a member of the government as a Freedom and Solidarity party nominee. He was able to take up his post only after a mandatory 14-day quarantine following his return from the United States, where he served as the Slovak Ambassador.
