We Are Family threatens to leave Coalition

If Speaker of Parliament Boris Kollár (We Are Family) isn't supported by MPs in Tuesday afternoon's no-confidence motion against him, his party will leave the governing coalition, said We Are Family caucus head Peter Pčolinský, adding that the caucus will support initiating the vote. The no-confidence motion is being called over the scandal concerning Kollár's allegedly plagiarised diploma thesis. The two junior members of the governing coalition, Freedom and Solidarity and For the People parties, have called on him to resign from the post of Speaker of Parliament, while the largest party of the coalition, Olano, does not want to lose the Constitutional majority in Parliament if Kollár's party leaves. Kollár maintains that he gained his degree in a lawful manner and doesn't intend to use it in politics any longer.
