Vihorlat Forest and Rydošová will be nature reserves

As of September 15^th, Vihorlat Forest and Rydošová will have the status of nature reserves, the Government decided on Wednesday. The Vihorlatský prales nature reserve will be located over parts of four districts in eastern Slovakia: Humenné, Snina, Michalovce and Sobrance. The purpose of declaring Rydošová a Nature Reserve (PR) is to ensure the preservation of three biotopes which are of European importance and a habitat of animal species of European importance.
