Krajci: 180,000 COVID-19 vaccines expected in Slovakia in early 2021

The first batch of 180,000 vaccines against the novel coronavirus is likely to be delivered to Slovakia in early 2021, Health Minister Marek Krajci (OLaNO) stated on private TV Markiza's on Thursday. Krajci added that the vaccination will be on a voluntary and not mandatory basis. The minister ruled out a notion that people would not be allowed to go to work if they had not been vaccinated against COVID-19 first. The Health Ministry declared already in the past that the fact that the COVID-19 vaccine is being developed at a quicker pace than usual does not mean it would not be tested sufficiently. If it is released on the market, it will be safe, added Krajci.
