Ski resorts are not closed and no behind-the-scenes agreement exists regarding their opening, Transport Minister Andrej Doležal (a We Are Family nominee) said before the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday. "It's up to each ski resort whether or not it starts making snow, and whether or not it opens and invites [tourists] for the opening of the season. The current status quo is that ski resorts are not closed," said Doležal when asked about the existence of any behind-the-scenes agreement, as ski resorts have started to invite people to visit them despite the pandemic situation.
According to Doležal, any questions concerning ski centres will be answered by the Central Crisis Management Team and the pandemic commission, as they will definitely deal with this issue.
