Slovak Prime Minister Igor Matovič and French President Emmanuel Macron are set to discuss, at their meeting on Wednesday, current developments in the pandemic, the Next Generation EU fund, the European Green Deal, the role of nuclear energy in the EU, and joint defence. Last but not least, Matovič and Macron will also deal with bolstering relations between their countries.
Matovič will kick off his trip by visiting the city of Meudon, where he'll lay a wreath at the statue of former Slovak statesman Milan Rastislav Stefanik, who worked at the local observatory. The Slovak premier is also set to meet the general manager of Reporters without Borders, Christophe Deloire, with whom he'll discuss Slovakia's ranking in the world press freedom index.
