The Ministry of Education and the Health Ministry have been at work streamlining processes that would enable easier access to the Slovak health care system for doctors from non-EU countries, Health Ministry spokesperson Zuzana Eliášová announced on Tuesday.
The Health Ministry currently registers offers of aid in the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic from a number of countries, namely Austria, Germany, Poland and Romania.
Earlier on the same day, the International Association of Doctors warned that although medical personnel from non-EU countries are ready to lend a helping hand to Slovakia, various legislative hurdles stand in the way.
