No more quarantine for contact with COVID-positive people when vaccinated

Chief hygienist Jan Mikas announced on Friday that those who come into close contact with COVID-19-positive people will not be obliged to go into quarantine any more if they exhibit no symptoms of the disease and have been vaccinated against the virus. Another condition is that at least 14 days must have passed if the contact person has received the second shot of an mRNA vaccine. As for vector vaccines, the period has been set at four weeks following the first shot. The exemption will also concern people who have recovered from the disease and had themselves vaccinated within three months of recovery. In these cases, at least two weeks must have passed since the first shot, irrespective of vaccine type. According to Mikas, this change should come into effect on Monday, May 10.
