Trnava-based carmaker Stellantis Slovakia (previously Peugeot-Citroen) once again suspended production, with the move concerning all three shifts at the plant, wrote the TASR press agency on Monday. According to the company, the only processes that have not been suspended are quality improvement and the unloading of lorries. The carmaker has had production issues since early May, with the main reason being a shortage of components on the global market. It has been suspending and relaunching production according to the situation at hand since then. Volkswagen plant in Bratislava also partially suspended its production for two weeks at the beginning of May. With the Kia plant in Žilina, central Slovakia and Jaguar in western Slovak Nitra, Slovakia is the world's leading car maker per-capita.
