Foreign Minister Ivan Korcok (SaS nominee) perceives the agreement between US President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin on returning ambassadors to their posts in Washington and Moscow as an extremely important and positive moment of the summit held on Wednesday (June 16) in Geneva. Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday, Korcok praised the "very important" personal meeting between the leaders of the two states, the diplomatic ties of which have been "extremely strained" recently. "I'm glad that many regional issues, which Slovakia is also interested in, such as developments in Belarus, for instance, were also discussed" added Korcok. The Slovak foreign minister is also pleased by the fact that Biden and Putin touched on cybersecurity and arrived at a deal to identify critical infrastructure in their countries that should be off-limits to attacks.
