Slovak high school students were placed first in the absolute physics competition The International Young Physicists' Tournament (IYPT), sometimes referred to as the "Physics World Cup", in Georgia. The Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic informs about it on its website. The students had to deal with physical phenomena that go beyond the ordinary knowledge of a high school student. Slovakia also won an award for the most successful tournament competitor, won by team captain Veronika Ucekajová from Šrobárova high school in Košice.
