Foreign Minister on UN Day on working together when facing crises

“When dealing with crises without any boundaries, such as the pandemic, we must act together,” Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Ivan Korcok (an SaS nominee) stated on Sunday on the occasion of United Nations Day. UN Day is meant to be an expression of the international community's support for the work of the UN and its values and principles. These include the peaceful settlement of disputes, respect for the territorial integrity and political independence of UN-member states, and respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. According to the Foreign Minister, Slovakia is visible in the UN thanks to the successful work of its diplomats, experts and volunteers in the field, as well as members of the Slovak armed forces and police in peacekeeping missions and humanitarian workers in development projects in the world’s poorest countries.
