Caputova on COP27: We must involve future generation in climate change

We can't address the climate crisis without including the future generation in the process and thus it's necessary to make the climate crisis part of the school curricula in order to ensure the success of the ecological transformation, President Zuzana Caputova declared at the UN Climate Conference (COP27) held in Egypt on Tuesday. During the summit in Sharm El Sheikh, Caputova took part in a debate of leaders on the support for climate education. The Slovak head of state discussed Slovak interests regarding solutions to the energy crisis with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry. Caputova also had bilateral meetings aimed at opening the door for Slovak investments, such as with Kenyan President William Ruto. "Slovakia has a longstanding interest in cooperation with Kenya, we're providing developmental aid there and it seems that there's an interest in the Slovak know-how, experience and business, as far as the green transition and electromobility goes," added Caputova.
