A judge of the Nitra District Court has found ex-journalist and ex-Slovak Intelligence Service member Peter Toth guilty of the crime of blackmailing the now-deceased journalist Jana Teleki. He received a two-year suspended sentence with a probation period of two years. A prosecutor proposed the same penalty for him. The defendant appealed against the verdict. Peter Toth threatened journalist Teleki for the texts she wrote. In the phone call, he demanded that she rewrite a story and not comment on his son. If she did not do so, he would consider her to be his enemy. He threatened the journalist in a vulgar manner, including with physical violence. Teleki recorded the conversation.
