On Thursday, Slovak Defence Minister Martin Sklenár participated via videoconference in the meeting of the so-called Contact Group for Support to Ukraine in the format of defence ministers of selected countries. The current needs of Ukraine for defence against Russian aggression were addressed. The head of the Slovak defence ministry concluded they are determined to continue to consistently consider all the demands of the Ukrainian side, depending on given capabilities, in order to contribute to its defence. Sklenár recalled that Slovakia is one of the most active states in the field of support to Ukraine, providing it with various military technology, but also through a repair facility for Ukrainian military equipment in Michalovce. Slovakia is also participating in the training of Ukrainian soldiers together with EU Member States in the framework of the EUMAM mission.
