From the east to the west, Slovakia is going to celebrate Summer solstice over the upcoming weekend. The open-air stage in the vicinity of Raslavice, eastern Slovakia, will host the 53rd Saris festival of songs and dances featuring internationally recognized folk ensembles and groups. The event entitled Horehronie Days of singing and dancing Helpa, central Slovakia, will take place for the 57th time featuring also the polyphonic singing that has been enlisted into the UNESCO intangible heritage. The southern Slovak region of Hont invites people to try the local wine route while the capital Bratislava will run the Petrzalka days for all inhabitants and visitors of this largest housing estate in the country.
