Pavol Beblavý was appointed as Slovakia's UN Youth Delegate in July, replacing Michal Salíni. Out of forty-three candidates, Beblavý was chosen by Michal Salíni and a committee comprising representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the National Institute for Education and Youth. Beblavý is a student at the High School for Exceptional Gifted Children in Bratislava and holds the position of Secretary General at AproMUN Model United Nations. He is also a contributor to the Adapt Institute. As the youth delegate, Beblavý aims to increase awareness about the United Nations, represent Slovak youth interests at the international level, and provide better information to the UN about the concerns of Slovak youth. His term will conclude on July 31, 2024.
