Bratislava Public Transport (DPB) has taken delivery of the first of sixteen 24-meter long trolleybuses, becoming the first company in both Slovakia and the Czech Republic to introduce these extra-long mega trolleybuses. These double-articulated vehicles have the capacity to carry up to 180 passengers and are equipped with air conditioning, state-of-the-art information and safety systems, and a comfortable interior. Furthermore, they have the flexibility to operate short distances without overhead wires, thanks to their battery-powered capabilities. The adoption of these buses is aimed at transforming certain bus routes into trolleybus routes, increasing the transport capacity of specific routes by 20 percent.
