The Slovak Army is set for further modernisation projects and support for Ukraine. This was announced at the ITAPA Defence 2023 conference. Symbolically, the meeting of experts was held for the first time on the premises of the SNP Museum in Banská Bystrica. The date of today's Armed Forces Day is also symbolic, as it is linked to the first volunteer expedition in 1848. It is also the 30th anniversary of the independent Slovak Army.
