In a recent incident in the Bratislava borough of Dubravka, a police investigator has launched criminal prosecution for assault on a public official, bodily harm, illegal arming, arms trafficking, and general endangerment, as well as a separate prosecution related to the killing of the perpetrator. The incident involved a man in his thirties who randomly fired a firearm at passers-by from an apartment window and then continued shooting on the street before returning to the apartment, causing an explosion. He subsequently attacked police officers with two knives, resulting in one officer being stabbed, but the assailant was ultimately shot and killed by the police during the confrontation, leaving four injured individuals and the gunman dead.
