The Bratislava City Council declared the emergency situation in the Slovak capital due to transit migration as of Saturday. Bratislava spokesperson Peter Bubla informed that large migrant groups, including mothers with small children, are beginning to concentrate in the Slovak capital. As he stated, this is the result of neighbouring countries closing their borders. The declaration of the emergency situation will enable the city to manage the provision of the necessary aid in a more operative and efficient manner.
