Jaguar Land Rover's plant in Nitra will start producing electric vehicles later this decade as part of a plan to transform the British carmaker's plants around the world. The company announced this on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the plant, which now employs 5,000 people. The plant will be expanded on land it already owns. The Slovak factory is currently the only one to produce the Defender SUV, which has become the best-selling model of the entire group over the past two years.
