Prime Minister Robert Fico also signalled he wants tough action against illegal immigration. He organized a show of force at Čunovo-Rajka border crossing on Monday evening. He said he would use all available forces, including police, army, horses, drones and dogs to stop illegal migrants.
He said there would be close cooperation with Hungary. The Interior Minister, Matus Sutaj Estok, added: "This action serves as a clear signal that we want to send to all illegal migrants, but especially smugglers.”
