Slovakia reserves spending for its own defense forces

Defense Minister Robert Kalinak and Foreign Affairs Minister Juraj Blanar met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg yesterday in Brussels. They confirmed Slovakia will no longer give military aid to Ukraine and instead will invest in modernizing its own defense forces. Humanitarian aid will continue. Slovakia hopes for a cease-fire and welcomes Ukraine’s ambition to join the EU.

Stoltenberg praised Slovakia's progress in meeting capability goals, including efforts to restore independent air defense.
