Unemployment continues to decline in Slovakia and is now lower than in 2020, before the Covid pandemic. According to the old methodology of the labor office, the share of people without work calculated from all applicants, decreased to 6.09 percent in October.
At the beginning of the year, the Labor Office switched to a new methodology, which calculates the percentage from all people of productive age. By this measure, unemployment is at 3.9 per cent, also in a downward trend.
At the beginning of the year, unemployment was still 4.4 per cent.
