CESMAD Slovakia road haulers association won't support the blockade of Vysne Nemecke - Uzhhorod border crossing, slated for December 1, and also doesn't find it necessary to meet with the UNAS road carriers union to discuss it.
CESMAD Slovakia fails to understand the merits of blockading a single border crossing with Ukraine, if others remain open and believes that a response at the level of Brussels is needed instead.
CESMAD Slovakia also warned that the blockade will inconvenience the lives of people in eastern Slovakia.
"We perceive as the most important progress in the existing talks the fact that the Ukrainian side has conceded to the possibility of the reintroduction of licenses in the mutual trade and that the given demand is no longer considered to be non-negotiable," stated CESMAD, adding that it's important for representatives of the top EU institutions, national governments and Ukraine to reach a deal as soon as possible.
