Slovakia respects China’s insistence that Taiwan is actually a part of the country. Prime Minister Robert Fico said this after a meeting with the Chinese deputy minister for foreign affairs on Monday. Fico will visit China in the spring.
"China deserves respect because it has achieved unprecedented economic results and is a stabilising element in global security," said Fico. He said China and he agree that the war in Ukraine can’t be solved militarily, and that both support peace initiatives.
