Slovakia will receive almost 70 million euros from the European Union (EU) to help improve a highway near Prešov, in the east of the country. The EU is investing in infrastructure that has both civilian and military uses. The stretch of road in Slovakia is part of the Via Carpathia, which will connect seven EU countries. (TASR)
