There will be extra security over the Easter period in Slovakia. Interior Minister Matúš Šutaj Eštok said the terrorist attack in Moscow targeted the Christian community. Security will be heightened at events related to Easter, and also shopping malls and department stores. The government did not raise the terrorist threat level.
President Čaputová later called the measure preventative. "There is no reason to spread panic. The Security Council of the Slovak Republic has decided to adopt explicitly preventive security measures, I understand them as such," she said.
