Peter Pellegrini won the run-off round of the presidential election in all regions of Slovakia except Bratislava, according to official election results confirmed by the State Electoral Commission on Sunday.
Pellegrini received the most votes in Banska Bystrica region, where 61.01 percent of voters voted for him. It was followed by Nitra (58.74 percent), Trencin (58.31 percent), Presov (57.39 percent), Zilina (56.07 percent), Kosice (54.42 percent) and Trnava (50.51 percent) regions.
A mere 34.02 percent of eligible voters cast ballots for Pellegrini in the Bratislava region. This was the only region where Ivan Korčok won, gaining the votes from 65.97 percent of voters.
Trnava region was the second in terms of Korčok's support (49.48 percent), followed by Kosice (45.57 percent), Zilina (43.92 percent), Presov (42.6 percent), Trencin (41.68 percent) and Nitra (41.25 percent) regions. Korčok had the lowest support in Banska Bystrica region, where a mere 38.98 percent of voters supported him.
