Cross-border cooperation projects, transport links and cooperation in the field of energy. These are the key topics of the joint meeting the Slovak government is currently holding with the Ukrainian cabinet today, Thursday (April 11). The main topics of the meeting are the restoration of Ukraine, defence and agriculture among others. Prime Minister Robert Fico welcomed the representatives of Ukrainian government in his opening speech:
Fico: “It is going to be an open discussion. There are going to be topics where we have different opinions, but at the end of the day, Mr. Prime Minister, I am convinced, that you will say that it was worth undertaking such a long trip from Kyiv to a country with confident politicians with their own opinions, but also with people with heart, who understand the nature of the tragedy and who are willing to help.”
Fico will hold a joint press statement with Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhaľ in the afternoon. After its end, a meeting of the Slovak Government will take place at the Municipal Office in Michalovce.
