Parliament postponed the vote on the Slovak Arts Council until next Thursday, the coalition did not agree on the final wording of the amendment. According to the draft, subsidies for libraries, galleries, folklore ensembles or musicians should not be decided primarily by experts, but by nominees of the Ministry of Culture. The cultural scene warned that the changes would lead to the paralysis and destruction of this public institution.
