Illegal migration from Ukraine has gone up

Since the beginning of the year, Slovakia has reported an increase in illegal migration from Ukraine by 82 percent. This was said by Tibor Gašpar, chairperson of theParliamentary Committee on Defense and Security, at the meeting of the Committees on Defence and Security of the Visegrad Four, V4, countries in Prague. According to him, this is a reaction to the recently adopted amendment to the Mobilization Act by Kyiv. Speaking is Tibor Gaspar on the results of the meeting of the Committees for Security and Defense of V4 countries.

„The most interesting news in connection with the illegal migration is the term hybrid threats that are mostly a risk at the borders of Belarus, Poland and other countries that neighbour Belarus. I would like to say in the name of the Slovak Republic that we are going to invest in the solution of this problem from financial, social and technical point of view. We have been doing that in the past and we are ready for cooperation,“ says Gašpar.
