Alexander Dubček Prize awarded to three laureates

The Alexander Dubček State Order was awarded to three awardees on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Slovakia's accession to the European Union (EU). The laureates were presented with the award by Prime Minister Robert Fico at Wednesday's gala evening in the Bratislava Castle.
The order was awarded to the mayor of Uhrovec, Zuzana Máček, for her significant contribution to the preservation and development of the legacy of Alexander Dubček and Ludovit Stur, as well as for developing Slovakia's reputation abroad. Marta Ziakova, Chairwoman of the Slovak Nuclear Supervision Authority, was awarded the prize for her significant contribution to the development of the nuclear energy sector and for spreading the good name of Slovakia in international professional institutions.

The Choir of Slovak Teachers was awarded for significant merits for development in the field of culture, for continuous national representation of vocal art for more than a century and for spreading the good name of the Slovak Republic.
