President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová met President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv on Friday during her farewell visit to Ukraine. She thanked him for mutual friendship and cooperation. TASR learns about it from President's post on her social network.
After the meeting, Čaputová received from Zelensky the highest Ukrainian state decoration, the Order of Yaroslav the Wise of the 1st degree. She in turn awarded the Ukrainian President the Slovak state decoration of the Order of the White Double Cross of the 1st Class.
Čaputová recalled that she had visited Kviv four times in the past five years in the presidential office. In her words, she considers the current trip as an opportunity to say goodbye to President Zelensky.
