President Zuzana Čaputová expressed her condolences to President-elect Peter Pellegrini, whose father died, TASR learnt from the President's spokesperson Martin Strizinec on Thursday. “I express my sincere condolences to Mr. Pellegrini. It is always painful when those closest to us pass away. I hope that fond memories of his father will help to ease the loss that he and his family are experiencing today," said Čaputová. Pellegrini announced the death of his father on a social network. "With love and gratitude for everything, we bid you farewell. Rest in peace," wrote the President-elect.
