Starting next year, the parental allowance should be increased by nine euros. Parents who took maternity leave should see the biggest increase. This follows from the draft measure of the Labour Ministry on adjusting the living wage, which was published by the legal regulations portal slov-lex. From July 2024, the amount of the subsistence minimum will change, which affects dozens of benefits. Among them is the parental allowance, which should increase from January 2025. They should receive 482.30 eur per month, which is an increase of nine euros. For parents who did not receive maternity leave it will be 6.60 eur, to 351.80 eur.
