The Slovak football team managed to lead England in the first part of their Sunday match at the European Championship. However, in extra time, Slovakia lost 1:2 to their opponents and finished in the 16th round. The hero of the match was Ivan Schranz who sent Slovakia into an early lead. “It's definitely a big blow to any team. You have to commend the boys for the way they approached it, the way they fought until the last minute, the way they pushed England. It's a shame we didn't have any more significant chances. But I take my hat off to the guys who were out there for 120-130 minutes," said the Slovak who is so far the best scorer of the tournament.
On the English team, Jude Bellingham scored the tying goal at the end of the extra 6 minutes, while Harry Kane scored the winning goal at the start of extra time.
