46.4 percent of Slovaks are in favor of a Western geopolitical orientation. 39,5 percent of citizens support a balanced position towards Russia and the West and 8 percent would prefer Slovakia to side with Russia. This follows from the results of a June survey titled Ako sa máte, Slovensko? The attitudes of Hlas-SD and PS voters have not changed much compared to the spring of 2023. Hlas-SD party voters mostly lean towards a balanced position towards Russia and the West (currently 52.7 percent, in 2023 it was 47.3 percent). At the same time, a significant part of them prefers the West (currently 35.7 percent, 34.1 percent in 2023).
