New system launched for emergency medical service in Slovakia

A new so-called rendezvous (RV) system is being launched for the emergency medical service in Slovakia as of August, Emergency Medical Service operations centre (OS ZZS) has informed TASR.

As of that date, a new type of ambulance will be put into operation by three emergency medical service providers in Slovakia. "The Kosice Rescue Service will join the project with RV Kosice, as well as the Bratislava Rescue Medical Service with RV Zilina and the Rescue Medical Service with its RV crew in Trencin. After ensuring that the materials, technology and personnel are ready for the project, they have obtained permits from the Health Ministry to operate under the new system, said OS ZZS.

The new emergency medical service ambulances should provide quicker professional medical care.
