Meteorologists recorded on Sunday temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius in the south of Slovakia, the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMU) posted on a social media on Sunday.
The hottest day next week is likely to be Wednesday (August 14), when the temperature in the south-west may rise to 37 degrees Celsius.
Paradoxically, eastern Slovakia will cool down by about two degrees Celsius on Monday (August 12) and the next two days will be relatively cooler than in the rest of the country.
In addition to high temperatures, very uncomfortable sultry weather is to be expected next week, initially mainly in the southwest, then across most of the country.
