On Friday, opposition MPs submitted the signatures necessary to convene an extraordinary parliamentary session on the proposal to dismiss Justice Minister Boris Susko (Smer-SD) and Culture Minister Martina Šimkovičová (SNS nominee). Representatives of the opposition parties PS, SaS and KDH informed about it at a press conference. Following the legislation, the extraordinary session should be convened within seven days. The opposition criticises the lower penalties introduced by a recent amendment to the Penal Code and decisions concerning culture and cultural institutions, among other things.
