Slovakia has sent more humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, with the total value of the aid amounting to more than €27,000, Interior Ministry spokesman Matej Neumann has reported, adding that the recipient is the International Organization for Migration in Gaza.
"The humanitarian aid consists mainly of basic hygiene supplies [sanitary packs, pads, toilet paper], drinking water containers and blankets," the spokesman explained.
According to Neumann, the shipment consists of allocated material from the Interior Ministry and donations from a company called SHP Harmanec, non-profit organisation People in Peril and civil association ADRA - Adventist Development and Relief Agency. It was offered via the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
Slovakia also sent humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip at the end of last year. The first shipment included non-perishable foodstuffs, baby food, blankets and medical supplies.
