The Culture Policy Institute (IKP) of the Culture Ministry will be scrapped by the end of August, due to restructuring changes necessitated by the consolidation of public finances, Culture Ministry spokesperson Petra Bacinska confirmed for TASR.
"We can confirm that as part of reorganisational changes, IKP will be dissolved as of September 1, 2024," said Bacinska about the analytical centre. She added that restructuring will be necessary in other departments as well, but all of their functions will be maintained. "These changes are needed partly in light of the government's directive mandating the consolidation of public finances.“
Established in 2018, IKP provids analytical services to the ministry's management.
Similar analytical units were dissolved by the Defence Ministry in May and by the Justice Ministry in August, with the explanation being that these moves were geared towards streamlining ministerial resources.
